Marina Garcia de Lomana

Marina Garcia de Lomana is a PhD student in the COMP3D Group. She is developing machine learning models for in vitro and in vivo toxicity prediction as part of a joint research project of the University of Vienna and BASF (Ludwigshafen am Rhein, Germany). After earning a BSc degree in biotechnology from the Universidad Politécnica de Madrid in 2015, she moved to Germany to continue her studies. In 2018, she earned an MSc degree in bioinformatics from the University of Hamburg and wrote her master’s thesis on “Virtual screening for novel inhibitors of bacterial enzymes of the lipid A biosynthesis pathway”.
